Patriotic Thanks

Pin It One of my nice neighbors gave us some fantastic patriotic treats for the 4th.  As a way of ushering out the month of July, I thought I'd share the card I sent them.  I made the stars and "thanks" using the cricut and the George cartridge.

Only one more month now until it cools off a little.  Anyone else sweltering?

  1. Cute card! From George and Basic shapes? And, yes, I am sweltering and ready for the cooler temps!

  2. Love the papers you used. It is hot here- I can deal with that...it is the humidity that gets me....

  3. Nice card.....I love that you used George to make it. It's so easy to get all caught up with the newest cartridges and forget all about the original ones that started it all. When you look back at the DS files that people worked so hard on when we first got our Cricut machines and compare them to the thousands of images we have available to us now it's clear that crafting has changes alot in just five years...makes me wonder where we'll be in another five years ! ...It seems the heat wave has hit us all. It's horrendous here this summer. I'm still not sure I'm ready for it to end though. Last winter was the coldest I can ever remember with the most snow...I think I can swelter for alittle longer before going back to that ~

  5. Very nice card.
We are warm but not as bad as the plains (Texas) where they are all in the triple digits. We had some 90s and 100s but a day here and there (longest I think was 5 days of 90s in a row). Guess that is the benefit of living on the coast but of course we have the humidity which takes these 90 degree days and make them feel like 110.
I just hope the rest of the country gets to a more resonable temp. People can agrue about how they have "Dry heat" but heat is heat and I don't care if it is dry or because of the humidity, people are dying in it.
Wishing all cool and comfortable days ahead!
